I said I would and I did make it to 11 aka eleven days of National Poetry Month by posting a poem each day. I did it! I also created a 11.5 poem today, inspired by my waking dream of a fly.
Why am I sharing this? I am sharing because I want to say that if I can do it, then so can you. Need some inspiration? Would you like another 10 prompts?
Okay, here you go. 10 more prompts!
Thanks to Upslash! This helps a lot!
Look at this beautiful sunset. What do you see? Take a look, particularly at the colors. What can you say about just the colors in this sunset? Describe the colors and how they feel to you.
Ants! Little black ants. Busy little fellows. What is your first thought about this picture? Can you write a small, four line, poem about ants? Sure you can!
Tomatoes! Mmm deliciousness… What textures, scents, tastes come to mind when you see these tomatoes?
Trains are my personal favorites. Do you like to ride on trains? What adventures would you take on a train if time and money were of no concern?
An airplane… Would you like to fly the friendly skies? I love flying and wish I could do more. Whee…
Emotions…What thoughts does this photo bring to you?
Baby in a basket, I can already feel a rhyme coming on. How about you?
Mailboxes… This should be very interesting to see what comes of this. What is in store in your creative mind?
Chocolates, the taste, texture, feelings that come with chocolate. Show me what you’ve got.
Lastly, looking at this it could be hands, heart, love and a mystery. What does it conjure up for you?
Okay, there you go. Don’t be surprised to see another set of 10 prompts around the 20th. Please let me know what you end of creating. I really would like to know.
Thank you for taking the time to read this far and I hope your creative juices are going.
